I had a lovely time at Hutcha Resort, which is beautifully set right on the beach. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a nice pool and friendly local community nearby. However, the rooms were a bit small and basic for the price, and the outdoor bathroom may not be everyone's cup of tea. Overall, it felt like a paradise retreat, especially for those who don’t mind some nature’s company.

The room was small but tidy, featuring an outdoor bathroom that offered a unique camping vibe. It had a new fridge, safe, air conditioning, and a nice little balcony.

Perfectly situated for a tranquil visit, the resort is away from the noise of nightclubs yet close enough to local shops and stunning beaches. I felt it was a true beach paradise.

Dining was decent with options available throughout the day, although I felt breakfast could offer more variety.

I stayed at this resort as it was conveniently close to the ferry pier for Koh Phangan. The outdoor bathroom concept felt unique but came with its own challenges, particularly with insects. While the resort itself had beautiful facilities, I think next time I might look for something a bit more enclosed for comfort. Overall, the experience was decent, especially since the service was warm and welcoming.

The bungalow was clean and air-conditioned, featuring an interesting outdoor bathroom, but the open design made it feel a bit exposed to nature, which was unsettling at times. It was reasonably priced for the experience offered.
Service

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, constantly checking in to ensure everything was okay, which really contributed to the positive vibe of the resort.
Location

The location was lovely for those looking to escape the crowds, perfect for a chilled-out experience. However, if you need to venture into more touristy areas, it might feel a bit remote.
Dining

Breakfast was included and while it was satisfactory, I wish there had been a bit more variety rather than the same options each day.

Overall, the facilities were nice, especially the outdoor ambiance. However, they could enhance guest comfort with better insect control.

Hutcha Resort has a charming atmosphere with a lovely pool area and delicious food at the restaurant. However, the bungalows are quite small and can be uncomfortably hot if you opt for a fan room. While the restaurant staff were attentive and friendly, I encountered significant issues with room maintenance and service throughout my stay, making it a mixed experience overall.

Rooms
5.0
The bungalows are described as quite small and can feel cramped, especially the fan rooms which tend to be hot. Despite being new and clean, the limited space makes it challenging to move around comfortably.
Service
5.0
While the restaurant and pool staff were attentive and friendly, I faced multiple issues with room changes and maintenance that were not addressed adequately by management, leading to frustration.
Location
7.0
The resort is well-located next to the beach, providing a peaceful and quiet setting. However, it might not be ideal for those seeking more privacy and tranquility due to its busy surroundings during peak times.
Dining
8.0
Food in the restaurant was inexpensive and tasty, with a good breakfast buffet. However, the dining options could become repetitive after a few days.
Facilities

The pool area was pleasant but faced issues with cleanliness at times, and some loungers needed repair, which raised safety concerns.

I found the hotel to be a hidden gem with fantastic value for money. The rooms were spacious, clean, and offered a unique outdoor shower experience, which I adored. The pool was large and mostly empty during my stay, making it a peaceful escape. However, some areas could use improvement, particularly the laundry service and the occasional mosquito presence. Overall, I'd highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

The hotel is located in a peaceful part of Samui, ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle. The beach is nice and often quiet, perfect for relaxation. The staff are welcoming, and the breakfast options have certainly improved since last year. However, the resort shows some signs of wear and could use better maintenance, particularly in the gardens and amenities.

Rooms

I stayed in an air-conditioned villa that was spacious and comfortable, with a fridge and TV. However, some maintenance issues like a broken basin plug diminished the experience.
Service

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay much more enjoyable. They even assisted me in getting better pricing by letting me use their Wi-Fi to book online.
Location

The hotel is in a quiet area of Mae Nam, away from the busy tourist zones, which I appreciated. It’s a lovely spot for peaceful beach walks and a few nice dining options.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast has improved with more variety, but there was still room for a few more options. The omelette I had was fantastic, definitely a highlight!
Facilities
6.0
The pool area was fantastic and well-kept, providing a nice place to relax. However, the absence of a few facilities, particularly a public computer, felt like a step back from last year.
